Fat Wreck Chords Announce 25th Anniversary Tour

fat wreck chords 25 year anniversary

To celebrate it’s 25th anniversary, Fat Wreck Chords is putting on a multi-week tour across the US and Canada this August. Headlined by label creators NOFX, the gargantuan line-up will also include Lagwagon, Swingin’ Utters, The Flatliners, Masked Intruder, Toy Guitar, and Bad Cop/Bad Cop, with even more bands to be announced in the months leading up to the tour. Along with the tour announcement, Fat Mike shared a video on Facebook in the most PUNK ROCK of manners (read: one unedited take recorded without prior rehearsing or scriptwriting of any sort) teasing special guests (but not Rise Against special) amongst other enticing details. The first US stop of the tour happens to be at the House of Blues here in Boston on August 12th, and tickets can be found via Livenation.

Now we’ll address the elephant in the room (or on the screen? There are elephants inside of your computer), $54 to $65 after fees for one ticket seems pretty exorbitant, especially for a punk show. However, the show does start at 2pm and will presumably go until well into the night, and given how many bands are playing (with more on the way) we’re pretty certain the experience will be well worth the ticket price.
