Boston’s own Mr. Furious has released [what we believe to be] their debut EP entitled “Raspberry Iced Tea!” This ska/punk band originates from the South Shore and serves up a high energy sound, unique to anything else in the scene right now. Their bio will tell you the founding members were inspired to put the band together after seeing NOFX and that influence shines through on this first release. Their sound comes out swinging in the first two tracks, “Broken Bastard” and “Cool Like You.” “Mr. Savage” brings things down to a more two-tone tempo so you can catch your breath before putting you back in the manic hands of the last two tracks. The tracks can be yours to own for $3 from Bandcamp. Take a listen below.

Their next show, according to Facebook, is July 13 at TT The Bear’s. At the time of this post, their name wasn’t on the ticketing page, but it’s for sure a ska show so let’s assume they’re a late addition. The show is 18+ and only $10.

We’ve got no idea what’s up with the dinosaur (on the cover or referenced in track 5) but we love it.
