Mighty Mighty BossTones Announce Hometown Throwdown 19

Take it from the boot up there: It’s that time of year again! The Mighty Mighty BossTones have announced Hometown Throwdown 19, which will take place December 28th-30th at the House of Blues. Just like last year, it looks like all these shows are all ages, which is a change in accessibility that began last year. Tickets for all three shows are on sale starting this Friday, September 23rd at 10am (links below.)

Full lineups have yet to be announced, and there is a lot of curiosity over what this year’s theme will be after last year’s thoughtful tribute to The Rathskellar. In the announcement of this year’s Throwdown dates, the band added a short message from Dicky Barrett that said the band has “decided to think internationally, go global, and celebrate the whole wide world.” Which means… something? It could result in the band inviting only international acts, which would definitely create a Throwdown more diverse than years past (fingers crossed for Radiohead.) Looks like we’ll find out in the coming weeks.
