UK two-tone ska band The Selecter have posted a video for the song “Box Fresh,” the first single off of their upcoming release “Subculture,” available on June 15, 2015. This new record was mixed by famed British engineer Price Fatty and will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital. You can find links for pre-ordering on their website, but it’s not clear if it’s available in the states on a physical format.

UPDATE 6/2/15 1:45 PM: TM Stores confirms they ship world wide.

The Selecter – “Box Fresh” – Music Video

The band last released “String Theory” in 2013. The band last performed in Boston in September 2013. We’re hoping this new release is accompanied by a return trip to the states. The last two albums have been stellar and the band still puts on a high-energy show.

Recently, vocalist Pauline Black was one of a number musicians to lend their perspectives to Noisey’s documentary on two-tone era ska.

The Selecter is best known for their hit 1979 “On My Radio.” The song recently made an unlikely appearance in a UK commercial for Virgin Money featuring a skanking pigeon. Business insider has the story behind this video.
