Punk In Drublic Fest Brings Punk, Craft Beer To Brockton

Fans of going to music festivals with drinking on the mind, rejoice: Campinelli Stadium in Brockton will be hosting NOFX’s Punk In Drublic Craft Beer and Music Festival on May 19th. Along with NOFX, Bad Religion, The Interrupters, Mad Caddies and Bad Cop/Bad Cop will be playing, presumably in addition to several other Fat Wreck bands yet to be announced. This is the second year the festival is taking place, and we’re very pumped to get it, as last year’s inaugural incantation only included locations on the west coast.

In a honest assessment of how well punk and beer go together, The festival’s first four hours will feature complimentary tastings of roughly 100 craft beers, courtesy of breweries both local (Mayflower, Jack’s Abby, Down The Road) and from NOFX’s home state of California. Additionally, California’s Stone Brewing Co. have collaborated with NOFX on their Punk In Drublic Hoppy Lager (from Stone’s website: “brewed with Fat Mike, who showed up and mostly just got in the way”.) The new collaboration will be exclusive to the festival but will not be included in the tasting hours.

Tickets to the festival are on sale via the official website. Additionally, Groupon has a pretty sweet deal on tickets to the festival that foregoes a lot of the service charges normally associated with buying concert tickets online. Brockton has become the de-facto site for larger-scale punk happenings; Just last year brought a combined tour with The Dropkick Murphys and Rancid that took place right across the street from Campanelli Stadium.
