Stream and Purchase The New Slackers Album

Last week, New York Ska pillars The Slackers released their new, self-titled album on Rarebreed Recording Co./Special Potato Records after teasing a few tracks through various sources. The album, which celebrates the band’s 25th year together, is a diverse set of tunes that adds tastes of ’70s psychedelia and soul to the mix. After the massive success of the album’s Big Tun.es campaign, The Slackers is here and is being praised as the band’s best in years.

The Slackers was recorded in waves, where the band worked on sets of four songs with three different producers (Victor Axelrod, Brian Dixon, and The Slacker’s own Agent Jay) in an attempt to shake up their recording process. Lining up with the record’s release, Rarebreed has put the entire album up on their Soundcloud page for all to hear. The album is also available to stream through Spotify (if you’re into that sort of thing), but the Soundcloud version includes three bonus tracks seemingly not found elsewhere. Physically, the album can be found over at Paper + Plastick, Interpunk and Brainlab Groove’s Bandcamp page. Listen to the full project below:
