Earlier this week, The Slackers announced their early 2015 tour dates, which includes two pairs of January and February dates and a long stretch of shows in March. Given The Slacker’s reputation for touring almost nonstop throughout the year, this list looks like a much shorter version of the tour announcements we are used to from this band, with long stretches of time off on the East Coast during January and February.

While this tour does not include a Boston stop, we did get a great show last month at the Sinclair, where the band was joined onstage by Jesse Wagner of The Aggrolites. This time around, The Slackers will stop by West Warwick, RI’s relatively ska-heavy venue Manchester 65 on February 6th (about an hour drive from Boston!) with Sweet Babylon and staff favorite The Copacetics, and then head north to Dover, New Hampshire the following night. Given how incredible that last Boston show was, I feel comfortable giving The Slackers a pass on making a Boston date this time.

30 Jan. – Patchogue, NY – 89 NORTH
31 Jan. – Trenton, NJ – Champs

6 Feb. – West Warwick, RI – Manchester 65

19 Mar.- Pittsburgh, PA – Rex Theater

Alex Chiasson is a writer for Boston Ska (dot) net. Alex's first experience with ska involved referring to it as "that music with the horns, right?". He's gotten better with categorization, but he also has this weird thing about staying humble. You can see Alex perform with The New Limits.
