This past February 6 would have marked Bob Marley’s 70th birthday. To celebrate Paradise Rock Club hosted a show featuring New Kingston, Nomad-I, and Boston’s own Mighty Mystic. In case you weren’t able to make it, Mighty Mystic has posted video of his full set on YouTube. The audio quality is great and the video is mostly from side stage. This set included a few Bob Marley covers to mark the occasion. Watch below:

Earlier that day, Mighty Mystic visited hip hop radio station WJMN JAM’N 94.5 to promote his show at Paradise and speak about Marley’s influence. The host, DJ Pup Dawg shares his own story of moving to Boston in search of good vibes. Skip to the 3:50 mark to catch him freestyle live on the air!

Mighty Mystic last released “Concrete World” in 2014. His next area show is April 25 at Ocean Mist in Wakefield, RI.
