Boston’s Own Pressure Cooker Heats Ups Johnny D’s in Somerville, Sept 7

So maybe it’s starting to feel a little bit like fall. Maybe the temperature dropped a little and the wind is picking up. Maybe it’s that much more important to check out a show before you start using the snow as an excuse not to leave your apartment.

Tonight, September 7th, Boston’s own Pressure Cooker brings their scorcher sound to Johnny D’s in Somerville. Take the Red line to Davis Square and cross the street. Doors are at 9:15 and music starts at 10pm. Tickets will cost you $12 and it’s 21+ only. I’ve never been to this spot so I can’t speak to the food/drink minimums and seating situation. Can someone let us know what’s up in the comments?

Supporting the night will be vocalist and Berklee professor Sarah Brindell. “Brindell is a soulful, sexy siren from the same beehive as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu,” said the Boston Weekly Dig. Backing her will be The Scotch Bonnet Band (Not to be confused with DC ska outfit The Scotch Bonnets). You might recognize them as members of Pressure Cooker and the Dub Down band.
