Spend New Year’s with Riki Rocksteady, The Snails, and The Copacetics

The Snails | Philly Reggae, Soul, Rocksteady and Roll

Get classy with The Snails from Philly this New Year’s Eve

So tonight is The Slackers, next week is Bosstones, but then what? You’re going to be on such a year end high, but you don’t yet have New Year’s plans? Rhode Island Ska Productions has got you covered. Sure they’re based out of Rhode Island, but we’re a small enough community that we can let them host a show in Boston, right? Right. They’ll be hosting a ska show at O’Brien’s, one of our favorite watering holes in town, featuring Riki Rocksteady, Rhode Island traditional ska band The Copacetics, and The Snails, in town from Philadelphia. We’re big fans of The Snails and we’re excited about this impromptu opportunity to see them. The last time they were in town they performed at Plough and Stars, possibly one of the tightest spots to see a band. O’Brien’s promises to offer a bit more breathing room.

Doors open New Year’s Eve, this party is 21+, and cover will cost you $8. Join the Facebook event here. Take it from me, skip the drama of whatever party you were going to, bring your dancin’ shoes, and do New Year’s Eve the right way. You’ll be happy you did.
