Big D & the Kids Table Post Recording Session Videos; Hold Reddit AMA Chat

Boston ska/punk stalwarts Big D and the Kids Table have been hard at work recording two new records funded on Kickstarter. They recently released a slew of videos chronicling the recording sessions. The videos share some candid moments and clips of of tunes from the upcoming records. Here’s a playlist of all 6 videos. They range from a minute to 7 minutes in length.

(They already posted another video right after I posted this. I’m going to just keep adding the new clips to the existing playlist.)

Not enough behind the scenes juice for you? Big D frontman David McWane recently held an AMA (“Ask Me Anything”) with Reddit. Did you know Porch Life was a joke record? Yeah, you probably did. Check out the Q&A session here.

In case you missed it, they last played a One Fund Benefit at House of Blues with Dropkick Murphys and State Radio on April 28, planned very last minute by Dropkick.

You can also find clips of Steady Riot and Modern American Gypsy on YouTube.

Big D last released For the Damned, the Dumb & The Delirious on SideOnedummy Records in 2011. They next pass through town with Warped Tour on July 11 at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA.

The band has said the records are 100% done, two singles will be released Tuesday, May 14, and the albums will be available Tuesday, June 11. The song “Social Muckery” from the ska/punk record was included on a recent Dying Scene compilation.
