Throwback Thursday: Westbound Train Performs Sam Cooke’s “Cupid” in NYC

It seems like just yesterday everyone was doing a cover of Sam Cooke’s classic “Cupid,” whether it was The Slackers, Amy Winehouse, or in this case, our own Westbound Train. This week we’ve got a video of performing a high energy version for a packed show at Webster Hall (or whatever they’re calling the downstairs these days) in NYC back in 2013. This stacked bill included Sammy Kay, The Frightnrs, and The Screw-ups, so needless to say, the crowd was warmed up. Watch them pay respect to Mr. Cooke in the video below. The audio isn’t have bad but you can definitely feel the vibes in the room.
