MUSIC VIDEO – Mr. Ice – “Moving On”

Boston-based Reggae artist Mr. Ice is starting the new year off strong, releasing a video for his song “Moving On”, the title track of his most recent album. The video is a nice showcase of Boston, as it shows Mr. Ice (given name Gregory Whitehead) traveling through Central and Harvard Square. The track itself is a standout within contemporary reggae, with interesting vocal manipulations happening especially in the song’s second half.

Originally hailing from Jamaica, Mr. Ice has been performing his own blend of reggae and dancehall music since 1997. Ice worked as a longtime radio host for both Jamaica 91.7’s “Our Views of RastafarI” and New York Linkage Radio 101.5, before leaving in 2013 to devote his time solely to his music. With the help of the Italian-based Greezzly Productions, Mr. Ice released Moving On to spread his lifelong message of positivity.

Moving On was released at the front end of 2015 and is available for purchase via Amazon and iTunes. Check out the title track’s video, via Reggaeville:

There’s a mix of local and not-so-local stuff below, but it’s all worth a moment of your ear’s time.
