Void Union Announces Residency at Devlin’s

Void Union 2015 ResidencyBoston’s own Void Union recently announced a residency. This fall they will performing on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at Devlin’s in Brighton, MA. Devlin’s is known for hosting jazz musicians, so Void Union is a natural fit. The rocksteady, ska, and reggae band has been playing since at least 2008 featuring an all-star collective of area ska musicians, many of whom have played with Westbound Train.

The residency kicks off October 1st. These shows are free and the music starts at 9pm. Join the Facebook event. I’m assuming this residency runs at least until the snowfall makes it impossible for at least half a ska band to make it to the gig.

UPDATE 2/5/16 6:45 PM: This is a Friday thing starting February 2016.

The band’s last full length release was Higher Guns in 2011, and before that, a 2008 self-titled release. Listen to both below available from bandcamp. Higher Guns is available on red vinyl from Jump Up Records.
