Westbound Train Guitarist Hosts Streetlight Manifesto After Party at Foundation Room

John DeCarlo and Company will host an evening of local reggae on Tuesday, October 20 at the House of Blues Foundation Room following the Streetlight Manifesto show taking place in the main hall. The Foundation Room is part of the main building so you won’t even have to go outside after Streetlight (it probably won’t be as cold as it was today, but still).  John “After Party” DeCarlo** has now put together quite a few of these events following major ska shows at the House of Blues including The Specials and the Reel Big Fish/Less Than Jake tour. You know John from Westbound Train. His “company” is typically made up of members of Westbound Train, Bim Skala Bim and other scene vets. He promises an appearance by Riki Rocksteady tomorrow.

These events are very chill. If you’ve never been, the Foundation Room has a bar, couches, and a low ceiling that make for an intimate affair. You can catch the band or just decompress from the pit with a drink. Expect a good mix of cover and originals from the band. Also, expect the unexpected. The casual atmosphere lends itself to special guests and unplanned performances.

This no cover party is 21+ and you can get in around 10pm. Join the Facebook event here. The Streetlight portion of the evening starts at 7pm with support from Dan Potthast and Sycamore Smith. Learn more about the tour and grab your tickets.

Still can’t place John? Here’s a video of him with his band at TT’s.

Head to the calendar for more parties like this one!

** No one actually calls him this. I think we should make it a thing.
