Jahriffe Releases “Champions” on Juneteenth

Boston roots reggae act Jahriffe released the single “Champions” on Friday, June 19, in celebration of Juneteenth. They said they released in the song “in honor of the African American Black experience.” It’s a stern, but empowering track with a meditative rhythm and a powerful call-and-response chorus.

Listen to “Champions” on Soundcloud, Apple Music, and Spotify.

Jahriffe last released the album “Reflection” in 2019, and it’s a great blend of roots reggae, rocksteady, and dub.
